Updated this week

This document outlines troubleshooting steps to resolve freezing and performance issues in Screenloop, caused by third-party applications and browser extensions. While Screenloop has opened the issue with the relevant parties, until a fix is released on their end, Users may experience:

  • Freezing when trying to complete a scorecard

  • Freezing when adding notes to a candidate

  • Frozen forms and open text boxes

Until the issue is resolved, you'll find below a temporary work-around for applications known to cause this behaviour.

Grammarly

The following solutions have been provided by Grammarly and involve disabling your browser extension, and opting to use their desktop application.

1. Grammarly for Windows

  1. If you're using a Grammarly browser extension

    • Click the Grammarly icon in your browser’s toolbar

    • Disable the option Check text with browser extension. This is because only one of these products can be active at one time.

    • Then follow the steps outlined by Grammarly to install their Windows desktop application.

    • Continue using Screenloop as normal

  2. If you don't see the Grammarly icon in the menu bar

    • Click the Start menu, type "Grammarly"

    • Launch the Grammarly app
