Google Meet Configuration

Screenloop supports Google Meet as a video conference provider. With this, the users within your organisation will seamlessly obtain recorded interviews that they have access to.

Requirements

This guide assumes that you:

  • Have a Google Workspace license (formerly known as G Suite).

  • The consumer version of Google Meet is not supported. Personal accounts usually look like <your-personal-email>@gmail.com. It also means that the consumer version of Google Meet, previously known as Google Hangouts, is not supported.

Install Google Meet on Screenloop

There's no need to install Google Meet on Screenloop as it's seamlessly integrated.

Usage

Screenloop will automatically detect any interview using Google Meet and will try to join the interview as a separate user named Screenloop-e.

Screenloop-e is our very own Earth-Class robot programmed to keep track of anything that happens inside the interview.

The host will need to accept the invitation from Screenloop-e to join the interview within the initial 10 minutes.

What does it mean if the robot tries to join more than one time?

It might happen on rare occasions that Screenloop-e will have to join multiple times, this can happen in case the robot had some kind of technical problem recording that specific interview.

The robot has self-monitoring capabilities and will check if it's able to record the meeting successfully throughout, in case it senses something is wrong, it will try to fix automatically and that might include trying joining again.

Configuring Google Meet

For Screenloop-e to be able to access the meeting please make sure that All users (including users not signed in with a Google account) can join Google Meet meetings. This is usually the default so no change should be needed. Please be aware that this configuration option is only accessible to Google Workspace admins. For more information please go here.

Remove Screenloop-e From Interview

If for any reason you would like to remove the robot from the interview, you can remove Screenloop-e as a participant at any time by going into the participants and choosing to remove them.

To ensure there are no future issues with the robot joining your organisation make sure to never toggle the abuse report flag and simply click Remove.

The interview will still be recorded up to the point where the Screenloop-e was removed and will show up on the platform.

Support

Screenloop's support page is available here.
