Interview Intelligence Analytics

How to access and leverage analytics and data insights

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Screenloop’s Interview Intelligence Analytics provides detailed insights into interview performance, helping Interviewers, Hiring Managers, and Recruiters refine their approach using real data.

This page benchmarks interview behaviour against industry best-practice guidelines, making it easy to spot trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.

Who can access analytics? Admin, Recruiters and Hiring Managers have access to organisation-wide analytics. While Interviewers can only access analytics from their own interviews.

Finding the Interview Analytics page

  1. Click Analytics in the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Under Intelligence, select Interviews.

If you are a basic user who has not been assigned to any interviews, the Analytics icon will not be visible.

Reviewing the Interview analytics data

Below is a breakdown of each metric, how it’s calculated, and how to interpret it.
All metrics include a comparison with the previous equivalent period based on your selected date range (e.g. last 7 days vs the 7 days prior).

Interviews

The total number of recorded interviews that took place during the selected period.

Duration

The average length of all recorded interviews within the selected timeframe.

Interactivity

Measures how dynamic the conversation is by tracking how often speaking switches between participants.

How it works:

  • Considers monologue frequency

  • Takes into account the number of participants in each interview

A score above 5 (on a scale of 1–10) indicates a balanced, engaging conversation.

Questions

Shows the average number of questions asked by interviewers during interviews in the selected period.

Interview Quality Score

An overall performance score based on multiple interview behaviour metrics.

Score breakdown:

  • 30% Talk Ratio

  • 20% Talk Speed

  • 10% Longest Monologue

  • 20% Punctuality

  • 20% Interactivity

A score of 75% or higher aligns with industry best practices and indicates strong interview performance.

Interview Quality Score History

Displays how interview quality scores change over time (daily, weekly, or monthly), depending on the selected date range.

Talk Ratio

Measures the percentage of time the interviewer speaks compared to the candidate.

An ideal talk ratio is 30–40%, allowing candidates enough time to fully respond and express themselves.

Talk Speed

Tracks how fast interviewers speak, calculated by words per minute.

Best practice (English interviews):

  • 130–150 words per minute

This metric is especially important for non-native English speakers, as speaking too quickly can negatively impact comprehension and candidate experience.

Longest Monologue

Measures the longest uninterrupted period an interviewer speaks during an interview.

Shorter monologues indicate a more conversational interview, giving candidates more opportunity to engage.

Punctuality

Tracks how early or late interviewers join interviews by comparing scheduled and actual join times.

Aim for 0 minutes or earlier to avoid candidate frustration or drop-off.

Filtering Interview Analytics

Use filters to analyse interview data in more detail:

Filter by active job listings.

  • Your organisation’s averages
