On February 28th, Screenloop will release the following product enhancements:

  1. Background checks

  2. New sidebar menu and UI components

  3. Hiring team performance on Candidate Pulse

  4. Hiring team Pulse

1. Background checks

Because background checks are an essential part of ensuring that potential hires have the necessary qualifications and for protection against legal issues related to negligent hiring practices, we introduced the new Background checks product powered by Certn. Our background checks are ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 certified.

In the Integrations option under Settings, a new option will appear that needs to be connected:

Once connected, a new modal will appear for you to accept the terms and service agreement and the integration will appear as connected.

Now, the only thing you need to do is identify the candidates to which you want to request a background check and go to that candidate detail page and select the 'Background Checks' tab.

Pressing the 'Request Background check' button will bring up a form that should be filled according to the candidate's information and the desired background check(s), as well as the respective country for which it is being requested. Here are the checks that can be requested (which vary according to the chosen country):

  • Softcheck

  • Identity Verification

  • Enhanced Identity Verification

  • Criminal record check

  • Enhanced Criminal Record Check

  • Education Verification

  • Employment Verification

  • Right to Work (coming in the next few weeks)

After placing one or multiple background checks, the status will remain in 'Pending' until it is completed by the candidate and validated. Once completed, the status will change to 'Returned' and the report can be downloaded.

A completion notification is sent via email and Slack to let recruiters and admins know that the report is now available to be downloaded.

Note that each Background Check has an associated price that will be invoiced by Screenloop in the next billing cycle.

2. New sidebar menu and UI components

We are excited to announce that we have updated our platform's sidebar menu to provide you with quick and easy access to key features. Our aim is to make your experience with our platform as smooth and efficient as possible.

Although all of the existing information is still available, we have reorganized it in a more intuitive manner that includes new user interface components. This update is designed to enhance your navigation experience by providing a more streamlined and user-friendly interface.

Also, if you use or enable Google authentication and the Just-In-Time provisioning option, we will now show your Google photo instead of your initials. This personalizes your experience and makes it easier to identify your account. It also adds a visually appealing element to the interface.

3. Hiring team performance on Candidate Pulse

The new Hiring Team tab in Candidate Pulse Analytics provides detailed data on the hiring process and candidate experience. It includes a breakdown of Hiring Managers and Recruiters, allowing you to better understand the strengths of your hiring process. This new feature will help you provide a better candidate experience and make more informed hiring decisions.

It is possible to filter by departments, jobs, and dates, but also visualise trends and sentiment analysis.

4. Hiring team Pulse

The new Hiring Manager template streamlines the hiring process by collecting essential information quickly and effectively. It includes sections for job specifications, the interview process, and candidate feedback.

The template ensures that data is collected systematically and provides a comprehensive overview of candidates to inform hiring decisions.

Analytics are presented in the 'Hiring Team Pulse' tab, which also includes data related to the Interviewer template.

To start leveraging both of these templates, please reach out to your CSM.
