Requirements
Before starting, ensure you:
Have an active Screenloop account with Admin permissions
Have a Pinpoint account with Admin permissions
Retrieve Your Pinpoint Subdomain
Your Pinpoint subdomain is part of your URL.
Example:
The subdomain would be:
screenloop
You’ll need this during setup in Screenloop.
Generating API Key
Step 1: Open Integrations
In Pinpoint, scroll to Settings in the left sidebar
Select Integrations
Step 2: Enable the Pinpoint API App
Open the Apps tab
Ensure the Pinpoint API app is added
Step 3: Open My Apps
Go to the My Apps tab
Select the Pinpoint API app
Step 4: Enable the API App
Ensure the toggle in the top-right is set to Enabled
Step 5: Create a New API Key
Click Create New
Enter a descriptive name (e.g. Screenloop)
Assign Read permissions for:
Application
Department
Interview
Job
Location
Scorecard
Custom Fields
User
Click Create API Key.
Step 6: Copy the API Key
Copy and securely store the generated API key
Important: Store the API key safely, as it may not be visible again later.
Connect Pinpoint to Screenloop
To complete setup:
Log in to Screenloop
Go to Settings > Integrations
Click Connect next to Pinpoint
Enter:
Pinpoint Subdomain
API Key
Click Connect.
What Happens After Setup?
Once connected:
Open roles and candidate data will sync automatically
Interviews and hiring activity will synchronise between platforms
Your hiring team can manage recruitment workflows more efficiently
Things to Keep in Mind
Admin permissions are required in both platforms
API keys should be stored securely
The integration depends on the API app remaining enabled in Pinpoint
