Edit Candidate Sources

Customise where candidates come from in Screenloop

Updated yesterday

Candidate Sources help you track how candidates find you—whether they apply externally or are added manually by your team.

Only Admin Users can access this section.

Where to Find Sources

Go to Settings → Customisation → Sources.

Add a New Source

Click Add Source (top right).

Select a Channel

Choose one of the five available channels. These cover most source types (e.g. job boards, referrals, agencies).

Using channels keeps reporting consistent and easier to analyse later.

Name Your Source

Enter a clear, recognisable name (e.g. LinkedIn, Employee Referral, Careers Page).

Use simple, standardised names to avoid duplicates and messy data.

Set Source Visibility

Choose how the source can be used:

  • Public

    • Visible on application forms

    • Can be selected by external candidates

  • Private

    • Only visible internally

    • Used when manually adding or editing candidates

Public sources affect candidate-facing forms. Private sources are for internal tracking only.

Edit an Existing Source

  • Click the ellipsis (…) next to the source

  • Select Edit and make your changes

Why This Matters

Well-maintained candidate sources help you:

  • Understand which channels bring the best candidates

  • Improve hiring performance reporting

  • Keep application forms clean and relevant for candidates
