Adding a Referral to Screenloop

Referrals help your team hire faster and ensure great candidates don’t get missed. Submitting a referral takes less than 2 minutes

How to add a Referral

  1. Open Referrals and click Add Referral

OR
Click + Add in the top right and select Add Referral

2. Personal Information

  • Enter the candidate’s details (fields marked * are required)

Accurate candidate details help recruiters contact candidates faster and avoid delays

  • Tip: Click Browse File to upload a resume and autofill details

Uploading a resume saves time by automatically filling most fields for you

  • Click Next

3. Job Application

  • Select the job you’re referring the candidate for

Each referral must be linked to a specific job to be reviewed by the hiring team

  • Complete all required fields (*)

  • “Where did you find the candidate?” is set to Employee Referral by default

  • Tick “Referral knows they’re being referred” if applicable

  • “Who gets the credit?” defaults to you

Referral credit is used for reporting and rewards, so make sure the correct person is selected

  • Change the user from the dropdown, or

  • Enter a referrer’s email if submitting for someone else

  • Click Save and Submit

How to refer an existing referral for another job

Reusing an existing referral saves time and keeps all candidate history in one place

  1. Go to Referrals

  2. Click the ellipsis (…) next to the candidate

  3. Select Refer for Another Job

  4. Complete the Job Application details

  5. Click Save and Submit

What to expect after submitting

  • The candidate is added to the selected job

  • Recruiters are notified automatically

  • You can track referral status in the Referrals tab
