With Screenloop’s Personio integration, you can transfer candidate data directly from your ATS into Personio, helping streamline your hiring and onboarding process.
Who Can Use This Feature?
Connect integration: Admins only
Export candidates: Admins, Hiring Managers, and Recruiters
How to Connect to Personio
Step 1: Navigate to Integrations
Go to Settings > Account > Integrations
Find Human Resources Information Systems
Click Connect next to Personio
Step 2: Set Up API Credentials in Personio
Follow Personio’s connection guide and configure:
Select All permissions (read and write) for:
Employees
Attendances
Absences
Documents
Custom Reports
Under Readable employee attributes, select All
Only fields supported by Screenloop will be used during the integration.
Step 3: Add Credentials in Screenloop
You will need:
Client ID
Client Secret
Enter these into Screenloop to complete the connection.
Your Personio App ID must match your Personio subdomain.
Example:
https://myorganisationname.personio.com → enter myorganisationname
Step 4: Confirm Connection
Click Connect.
Once successful, Personio will appear as a connected HRIS under:
Settings > Account > Integrations
How to Export Candidate Data to Personio
Once connected, you can export candidates who are in the Hired stage.
Option 1: From the Candidates List
Go to Candidates
Click Open Filters
Filter by Status: Hired
Click the ellipsis (⋯) next to a candidate
Select Export to Personio
Click Export
Option 2: From the Candidate Page
Open the candidate profile
Click the ellipsis (⋯)
Select Export to Personio
Click Export
Option 3: From the Job Pipeline
Go to Jobs and select the role
Open the Pipeline tab
Find the Hired stage
Click the ellipsis (⋯)
Select Export to Personio
Click Export
What Happens After Export?
A success message will appear
You’ll see a summary of the data that was exported (if available)
Ensure candidate profiles are fully completed to maximise the data transferred.
Things to Keep in Mind
Only candidates in the Hired stage can be exported
Missing candidate data may result in partial exports
Permissions must be correctly set in Personio for the integration to work
