If you’re running face-to-face interviews and not generating virtual meeting links, you may wonder whether you still need to schedule the interview in Screenloop for scorecards to work properly.
Do In-Person Interviews Need to Be Scheduled in Screenloop?
No — but it is recommended if you want automated scorecard distribution.
You have two options:
Option 1: Schedule the Interview in Screenloop (Recommended)
Even for in-person interviews, you can schedule the interview in Screenloop.
What happens:
It will show as not recorded (this is expected).
All hosts and participants will receive the correct scorecard via email.
Feedback is tied directly to that interview stage.
In order to make sure that the candidate is aware that the interview will take place in a face-to-face setting, please make sure to include this information in the Calendar Invite email.
Clearly state in the calendar invite or email that the interview is in person, not virtual.
💡 Scheduling in Screenloop ensures all interviewers automatically receive their scorecards without needing manual follow-up.
Option 2: Use an Ad-Hoc Scorecard
If you prefer not to schedule the interview in Screenloop:
Interviewers can complete an ad-hoc scorecard manually.
This can be done at any time.
No email prompt will be sent automatically.
The system will not have a formal record of the interview event.
This option works well for teams that manage all scheduling externally.
What Happens If You Don’t Schedule It?
If the interview is not booked in Screenloop:
No automatic scorecard emails are triggered.
Participants must complete feedback manually.
The interview won’t appear as a scheduled event in the system.
Both approaches are valid — it depends on your team’s workflow preference.
