User Roles and Permissions

Different user permissions in Screenloop

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In this document, we outline the different user types in Screenloop and the permissions associated with each type. Every team member is assigned a role type based on their level of platform access:

  • Admin - Users have full access across the platform, including all jobs, candidates, and organisation settings.

  • Basic - Users have limited access and can only see the jobs they’ve been assigned to.

Basic users are assigned to jobs by adding them to the jobs Hiring Team, under one or more of the following roles:

  • Recruiter

  • Hiring Manager

  • Interviewer

Each of these roles comes with its own set of permissions. Users need to understand their role type, and their assigned roles for each job, as this determines what they are able to do within the platform.

1. Adding a Team Member to Screenloop

As an organisation Admin, you can invite team members to join Screenloop as new users. When inviting a member you must select the relevant role.

  1. Navigate to Settings in the left navigation

  2. Click Add User in the top right

  3. Complete all the fields in the form

  4. Select the Role for this user according to the level of permissions they should have:

    1. Admin: Users will have access to all information and settings across the platform.

    2. Basic: Users only have access to candidate and job information for the jobs that they have been assigned to. They do not have access to Organisation settings.

  5. Click Invite to create the user

2. Assigning a Team Member to a Job

Admin and Basic users can be assigned to roles as Recruiters, Hiring Managers or Interviewers, each has their own access levels.

When creating a new job post, in step 1 Job Details:

  1. Scroll down to the Hiring Team section

  2. Assign a Recruiter (mandatory)

    1. Select the correct team member from the dropdown

    2. Note: Only members who have accepted their invitation to join Screenloop will appear

  3. Click Add a Team Member to assign Hiring Managers and Interviewers (optional)
