Access and leverage interviews in Screenloop

Step by step guide on how to access and leverage interviews

Updated this week

Overview

Screenloop integrates with your video conferencing system (VCS) and applicant tracking system (ATS) to give you seamless access to interview recordings, transcriptions, and actionable insights—all in one place.

Before You Start

Once these steps are done, all interviews will automatically sync and insights will be ready for analysis, saving time and improving hiring decisions.

Requirements

Make sure you:

  • Completed setup for your VCS (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet)

  • Completed setup for your ATS (e.g., Greenhouse)

  • Have an active Screenloop account

Here you’ll see all interviews synced from your ATS with their current status. Depending on the status:

  • Recorded: Click View to access recording, transcription, and interview insights.

  • Other statuses: Actions and available insights will vary.

Viewing an interview

All insights and notes are centralised, making it easy to review, collaborate, and make informed hiring decisions quickly.

After an interview ends, processing may take a few minutes to:

  1. Make the recording available

  2. Generate transcription and participant segmentation

You’ll receive an email notification once the interview is ready.

Click View in Screenloop to see:

  • Video recording and transcript

  • Key stats and insights, plus detailed notes and quick reactions via the Interview Sidekick

  • Interview timeline with timestamps, markers, and recording controls

Interview Clips

This feature allows you to create and share specific moments from interviews with ease. Highlight standout answers, key insights, or important discussion points, and share only what matters most.

Clips can be shared with anyone — even if they’re not Screenloop users — making collaboration with external stakeholders simple and efficient.

How to Create an Interview Clip

  1. Navigate to the Interview Details page.

  2. In the interview timeline, click the Create Clip option.

  3. A new timeline will appear where you can select the start and end time of your clip.

You can also use the Clips panel on the right-hand side to:

  • Define the start and end time

  • Add a name for the clip

  • Preview part of the transcript

Once saved, the clip will be processed and added as a new entry. You can then copy the clip URL and share it with anyone.

The default shareable link expires after 30 days. You can edit or delete clips at any time.

💡 Tip: Use clips to highlight key competencies or decision-making moments, helping hiring managers review faster without watching the full interview.
